wow God is so good and faithful. Steven and i took Growing kids God's way class in Texas a few years back. and here in Oklahoma at his and mine now, church they have a small group for people who have gone through the class. i believe it is the God given parenting class. So i have been attending the small group. It has taught me deeper lessons, and one is Blanket Time.
Its where you have your children sit on a small blanket with one toy and they play with it only with out talking to another child and staying on the blanket for up to 45 mins depending on the age and child. it teaches boundaries and the ability to play alone. So i have been working on this for about three weeks, i took hope a blanket, and a few different toys. And praise be to God she was able to sit through three hours of classes at the homeschool workshop. i was amazed. there was only a few minutes break between each class and people complimented me on her behavior. i was so blessed i prayed and Gods answered with showing me his tools he has given others to share do work. i would not have her do this on a regular basis this was a special day but it does show me that if i use what i have been taught it can be a great time with my kids and God can shine through my life when i do the things he has taught me.
after the classes we walked around more and looked at some books and the sweet girl fell fast asleep. She is such a blessing!

Wow, I am impressed! Never heard of blanket time before but it sounds like a great idea. Wish I could see the kids. We have a lot of doodle bugs, roly polys and stuff they could find in my yard.
