USS Lexington

This month with just a membership to one of the main attractions gets you into any of the museums. So we are taking lots of field trips this month. It is such a blessing Steven in home this month and we had the money to get a membership we had planned anyway. So we went to the USS Lexington. It so emotional for me ! To see what Steven lives with and in while he has been away on a ship. I cant imagine living in such tight quarters the bunks are so tiny i would go crazy. They show this short film about a fighter pilot wow do respect them so much more and feel for their families what a state of anxiety they must live in with the pilot in such danger all the time. The children enjoyed it so much. Cantrell thought just about everything was cool.Hope really wanted to the Hospital on the ship and after running into a gentleman who had been in Iraq with he guided us to the sick bay which we had missed the first trip down to the middle of the ship. You have to climb ladders to get everywhere, i got my work out for the day. It was nice it was hands on the kids could sit and feel and explore so much . It was a delight to see this ship!
