fun parts of school and mess!

We have been doing some school here and there we will start alittle more structure on august 8th. so if we transfer within in the school year we can take a long break . Today i decided it would be fun to draw his name in something so since i don't have any money it had to be in our house. and i don't use white flour anymore i thought that would be great!! Well they loved it worked well till i left the room to make me a sandwich and although i told them to ba carefull and not et it everywhere, It got EVERYWHERE if yo have never cleaned up flour it is alot of work!!! i have to bathe my children sweep and mop the floor and i am sure i will find flour for months. it is in every nook and cranny of my table and wood floors. it was a little frustrating but they will remember their letter, Actually Cantrell did a little assessment test given by his daddy, form the list that jessica sent me about what kids need to know. its a great resource. so Sunday we went down the list and had him show us what he can do! he could do more than i thought. he only has a few things he cant do on the list, he has a hard time remembering the difference between numbers and letters., he cant tell you about the story we just read, and just a few others but he can recognize his name, hopes and daddy which i have tried to get him to do and i thought he could not do, but he did fast for his daddy, i was so proud , he know how to write and recognize, the letters, B,H,L,A,C,O,T,P . i am very excited he know s more but it would take me awhile to right it all down, but those are the highlights for me. Hope is doing good i laughed because she knows some colors but not the primary colors, she know anything for a girl pink, purple, yellow which is a primary, white and black. she tries to draw her name , she loves to learn. they both do its great i hope to keep it fun and them interested about learning forever.
